对于我这个生长在城市里的人，几乎感觉不到芒种这个节气的重要性。趁假日里的空闲，我来到了农村的外婆家。不远处的麦田里，麦穗儿粒粒饱满，金黄金黄的，一眼望去，像一片金色的海洋。微风吹来，麦子一晃一晃的犹如波浪一般漂亮极了。眼前一望无际的麦田散发着淡淡的香味，让我想起了外婆家那热气腾腾的白面馍，还有那手擀面，想想我就直流口水。

你看，农民伯伯手拿锋利的镰刀朝麦田里走去，噢，原来是芒种的节气到了，要开始收割小麦了。夏日的天气骄阳似火，我在阳光下还没站多久就热得满头大汗，而麦田里的农民伯伯正顶着烈日在收割麦子，这时我不由得想起了一首学过的古诗：“锄禾日当午，汗滴禾下土，谁知盘中餐，粒粒皆辛苦。”只见农民伯伯左手抓住麦秆，右手握住镰刀，“吱吱”两声，麦子就被割了下来。一把接着一把地割，不一会儿就割了一大捆，他们热火朝天地干着、忙着。

在收割地农民伯伯累得气喘吁吁，汗水从他们的脸上一滴一滴地流下来，落在土里。看到这情景，我心里想：农民伯伯真辛苦啊！这火辣辣的太阳照在脸上，都晒得脱皮了，他们还是辛勤地劳动着。想到这里，我觉得自己不能浪费食物，要节约粮食。

突然，狂风大作，乌云密布，要下大雨了。农民伯伯见状赶紧推来板车，把一捆一捆地小麦搬上车，此时，我也冲进去帮忙，把小麦扛到板车上。没过一会儿，就装了满满一车，农民伯伯拉着板车，把小麦运到屋里，就这样，连续运了几个来回，终于把小麦运完了。经过大家的努力，小麦躲过了这场暴风雨的袭击。

对农民伯伯来说时间是很珍贵的，收小麦的时候是顾不得回家吃饭的，一旦碰到下雨天，小麦就会发霉变质，晴天要晒麦秆打场、看场，是很辛苦的。现在就好多了，用机器收割脱粒，速度快，质量提高了，农民伯伯省事很多，不用像以前那么辛苦了。
